I have learned so much coming to G-town! In just the few months I've started I have improved loads. Everyone is very welcoming and helpful. This is an amazing place with great teachers and friends helping you become amazing!

-Logan Heath

G-town is an awesome place to learn jiujitsu, self defense and grow as a person! As a mom of three young kids, I wanted my kids to learn self defense and build some confidence through jiujitsu but I quickly realized it was a skill I wanted and needed as well! As a woman who has never done any grappling or wrestling sports, the instructors have been kind, patient and incredibly helpful in my journey. G-Town is a safe and fun place for the entire family to learn a new skill together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be in shape to start Jiu Jitsu?

No, not at all! We understand that everyone is at different starting points. Our instructors and students will match your pace, and you can take a break whenever you need.

Is Jiu-Jitsu safe to train as a beginner?

It is safe to start training, even as a complete beginner. Everyone at G-Town knows to train safely and is taught how to do so. We openly invite every student to stop if they are stuck or feel unsafe.

How long does it take to progress in Jiu Jitsu?

That depends on how much you consistently show up. If you want to progress faster all it takes is putting in the effort and being here. Some gyms progress you based on an unpersonalized attendance rule. At G-Town we watch your individual progress closely to determine when you’ve reached the next step.

Do I need to have my own gear?

We provide all the equipment you need including gis, belts, gloves, pads, and water. Just bring some clothes to work out in!
